Family enjoying time outdoors in spruce grove

When choosing a new home, families are drawn to communities that offer strong schools, recreation opportunities and easy access to amenities. At Alquinn Homes, we build in communities in the Greater Edmonton Area that are designed to make it easy for you to make memories with your family and build a rich and fulfilling life.

Why Families Love Living Near Edmonton

Living near Edmonton suburbs comes with a lot of advantages for families looking to purchase a new home. Spruce Grove, Fort Saskatchewan and Stony Plain offer short commutes to Edmonton, meaning you can take advantage of more affordable housing opportunities, larger lots and a more laid-back atmosphere while still being a short drive away from the amenities of the city.

These smaller cities and towns also offer a strong community atmosphere, with many family-friendly recreation opportunities close by. Local rec centres offer spaces to enjoy sports year-round and in the warm summer months families can head outdoors to explore parks, local trails and outdoor festivals.

Beyond parks and recreation centres, these communities offer convenient access to grocery stores, healthcare services, sports programs, libraries and community organizations that help make day-to-day family life easier and more enjoyable. Residents benefit from the balance of small-town community connections while still being within easy reach of Edmonton’s employment, shopping and entertainment opportunities.
