Job Description:

A Sales Executive plays a very important role in the home buying process, and responsibilities may include showcasing homes, gaining new customer relationships, helping buyers and sellers come to agreements, offering expertise in home selection and local market knowledge, negotiating, and guidance in the closing transaction. Other job functions the chosen Sales Executive will have is:

  • Communicating and corresponding with clients with respect to ongoing matters.
  • Preparing and amending documents, charts and forms, including legal documents, correspondence, reports, emails and responses to routine inquiries.
  • General clerical duties including paper and electronic filing, photocopying, fax, and scanning.
  • Providing clients with valuable advice and guidance in the often complex and sometimes emotional process of purchasing a home
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to home owners
  • Commission based role

Architectural Technologist / Purchasing
Location: Spruce Grove, AB

Our Estate / Custom division is currently expanding!

 

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist / Purchasing.

This Architectural Technologist part of this role will be involved in construction drawings, developing drawings for new home designs, revising existing drawings, preparing applications for building/development permits, preparing architectural guideline applications and drawing design changes as needed.

 

The Purchasing part of this role will be involved in costing of new builds, issuing of purchase orders and Home Front maintenance.

 

The candidate must be a team player, organized team player as this can be a demanding environment. This position is available immediately.

 

We are looking for:

Skills and attributes:

  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of residential construction
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • The ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience in AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Zoning By-Laws and the Alberta Building Code
  • Experienced in requirements for DP and BP submissions
  • Custom home drafting would be considered an asset

 Qualifications:

The successful candidate should possess an Architectural Technology or Technician Diploma with a minimum of 5 years industry experience.

 

Required experience:

  • Architectural Technology: minimum 5 years drafting experience in Canadian Residential applications
  • Purchasing experience an asset

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent for new home construction. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all trades and effectively managing daily onsite activities. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience and confidence to engage and professionally interact with design professionals, consultants and the client. They must successfully direct the subcontractors and other construction personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget. This individual will work closely with the General Manager and fill an integral role on the project. Candidate must be professional and a personable leader, who is committed to the overall objective and self-development within the company.

 

The following is a list of the major responsibilities of the Site Superintendent;

·         Provide leadership that results in a safe work culture, is responsible and accountable for the safety of the crews under his direction

·         Required to be involved and supportive of any day to day disciplinary decisions and those additional discipline actions deemed appropriate

·         Accountable for following project plans and schedules and ensuring that crews under his direction perform daily and weekly activities to meet production goals

·         Overseeing the execution of the work, including quality and production, by ensuring that the crews work to job specifications

·         Identifying needs and deficiencies in the look ahead plan/schedule and communicating these to the appropriate persons

·         Translating general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for each crew

·         Reviewing and adjusting specific workface activities and task schedules to meet established production schedules

·         Working with the crews to overcome work challenges

·         Identifying, verifying and reporting any scheduling conflicts with other crews and contractors to the appropriate persons

·         Reviewing inspection reports and coordinating resolutions to deficiencies

·         Preparation of the project schedule

·         Review project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling conflicts, possible cost saving measures and potential construction problems

·         Ability to intelligently communicate with internal team members and clients

·         Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a daily basis

·         Rise and discuss relevant issues at job site meetings

·         Inform the General Manager of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the design drawings

·         Maintain a safe job site and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced

·         Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required

·         Maintain and enforce good construction standard and quality control

·         Maintain control and responsibility for the security and operation of company’s equipment on the job site

·         Control and monitor labor, material and rental expenses

·         Ensure “as built” drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period

·         Coordinate all required municipal inspections

·         Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists

 

Qualifications;

·         First Aid Qualified

        Minimum 5 years of Residential construction and site management experience with demonstrated experience in managing projects

·         Industry related education is an asset

·         Must have a sense of urgency and an ability to delegate and make judgment calls while meeting standards of quality and service.

·         Journeyman ticket in applicable trade is preferred

·         Strong ability to multitask, be proactive and detail oriented

Rate: $15/hour

Hours: Saturday, Sunday plus 1 week day

Sales Associate - Full Time & Part Time
Location: Devon, South Edmonton & Spruce Grove

Alquinn Homes is currently looking for a full-time, Sales Associates to join our Devon, South Edmonton and Spruce Grove sales team!

 

You will report to the Sales Executive, and will be responsible for supporting them with assisting clients while providing exceptional customer service. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to clients through the purchasing and building process
  • Obtaining customer information for the Sales Executive to generate clientele
  • Staying educated on all Alquinn offered specifications and current market knowledge
  • Preparing and submitting flawless purchase agreements and supporting documents
  • Maintaining showhome/sales center, making sure it’s clean and presentable
  • Create unique and effective marketing ideas to drive traffic to the show home

Requirements:

  • MUST be able to work Monday- Thursday 2-8 (Edmonton locations) and 3-8 (Stony and Spruce Grove locations) and Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 12PM-5PM
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Have the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Have great attention to detail and be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Valid Drivers license with a reliable vehicle
